We care about Wellbeing

Filshill Company Commitment to staff

Wellness is at the heart of our business strategy. It’s about collective and individual well-being. Amanda Casey is our incredible Safety and Wellbeing Manager. She has overseen over 250 interventions of support from colleagues and their family members, customers, suppliers and contractors. Leadership vulnerability is so important and avoiding “toxic positivity” is paramount.

Mental Health First Aiders

We are committed to supporting the wellbeing of everyone connected to Filshill, recognising the importance of mental health in the modern workplace. We now have over 25 trained Mental Health First Aiders and 5 GroceryAid ambassadors, ensuring that colleagues across the business have access to the right support whenever they need it. This commitment extends beyond our own workforce to our supply chain. To mark our 150th year, we funded bespoke training for 150 KeyStore retailers to become Mental Health Ambassadors.

Future Goals for Mental Health

We believe that the key to good mental health revolves around key areas of Sleep, Exercise, Social Interaction, Hobbies, Helping Others, and Stress Management. Our Wellbeing team arranges activities around these subjects throughout the year to ensure our collective wellbeing is as good as it can be.
